Child Protection Policy

Safeguarding children — whether they travel with us or live in the communities we visit.

Last updated 29 June 2026

Safari Quest Adventurez is committed to protecting children from harm and exploitation. This policy applies to families travelling with us and to interactions with children in the communities we visit.

Family travel guidelines

We welcome families and design family itineraries with appropriate pacing, accommodation and activities for the ages of the children travelling.

Minor booking requirements

  • All travellers under 18 must travel with a parent or legal guardian, or carry written consent and copies of both parents’ passports.
  • Some Tanzanian airlines require copies of children’s birth certificates on domestic flights.

Supervision responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times, including at lodges, beaches, swimming pools and during game drives.

Safety measures

Vehicles carry child-appropriate seating where available; lodges provide cots, child meals and family rooms on request.

Photography of children

Always seek parental consent before photographing local children, and never share images that could identify a vulnerable child. Visits to schools or orphanages are only undertaken through vetted, ethically managed partner programmes.
